"Tomica 55th Anniversary Automobile Manufacturer Collaboration Project" is a dream project in which five automobile manufacturers - Toyota Motor Corporation, Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., Honda R&D Co., Ltd., Mitsubishi Motors Corporation, and Suzuki Motor Corporation - are working together to have designers from each company who normally design actual vehicles come up with a special 55th anniversary design just for "Tomica."
Each company held an in-house competition to select a design that would suit one of the most popular "Tomica" vehicles. Actual vehicles decorated with each design will also be appearing at various events.
